I’m very much an iPhone user. I’m on my third iPhone now, and I still love using it. That said, I’m always into what’s new, and curious about what living on the other side might be like. Sadly, I even have a history of this. A couple years ago I tried Samsung’s Galaxy Note 2 and lasted 5 days before I sold it and went back to my iPhone. Now, however, my curiosity is rising again… there are some really great phones out there, and I would love to try them. Here are my three current cravings:
Labeled the “Flagship Killer”, OnePlus’ second phone is an affordable phone that is all premium and has its own, super-clean version of Android on it. There’s definitely a secret society feel to owning one of these, as you can’t just buy one, you have to receive an invite from OnePlus or from a current owner of one of their phones.
Google’s latest phone, made by Huawei, is intriguing. It has a 5.7″ display, which is big but not huge. It also sports an interesting design, with what is apparently a great build quality. Mostly, I want to see what Google’s interpretation of the perfect Android phone is like.
Burn me once, shame on you. But I’ll keep coming back until you get it right. My experience with the Galaxy Note 2 didn’t go badly because the hardware was no good, it was because the software was clunky. I’m holding out hope that Samsung has made improvements with each new version. New features like the ability to write a note on the screen with the stylus without even unlocking the phone makes me wonder whether they’ve cracked the code and made a phone that I would be able to live with for more than 5 days.
